eCommerce & Operations Associate

Aayka Fashion is the leading South Asian rental and sales destination in the US, with a showroom in Midtown NYC and customers nationwide. Milni is our new peer-to-peer South Asian fashion marketplace, currently in launch mode. We're a small, fast-moving team building something meaningful in an underserved space - and we're growing.

About the Role

We're not looking for someone to execute a checklist. We hand you problems and trust you to figure them out, build the solution, train people on it, and keep improving it. You'll have real creative freedom, real ownership, and a direct line to the founder.

Responsibilities

Operations & Systems

• Build and implement an inventory management system and train the sales team on it
• Optimize our Shopify storefront to improve customer experience, conversion, and backend workflows
• Automate customer service workflows so the team can focus on higher-value work
• Build scalable processes across communications and operations

Milni Marketplace

• Oversee day-to-day operations including product uploads, seller and buyer communications, and quality control
• Ensure nothing falls through the cracks as we scale

Marketing (Bonus)

• Support influencer outreach and relationship management
• Help execute email marketing campaigns

General

• Actively use AI tools to work smarter and faster
• Cover in-person sales appointments at our Midtown NYC showroom approximately once a month on a Saturday, with schedule flexibility built in

Required

• 1–3 years of real-world work experience with a professional track record
• Hands-on Shopify experience
• Strong communicator - with customers, teammates, and vendors
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Resourceful and self-directed - you don't wait to be told what to do
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment

Bonus

• Broader eCommerce experience beyond Shopify
• Experience with influencer or email marketing
• Familiarity with AI tools and how to apply them to real work problems
• Passion for South Asian fashion, culture, or the startup space
