Job Description

E-Commerce Manager — Hazaar Manchester (Hybrid) · £40,000 – £50,000

About Hazaar

Hazaar is the UK’s first marketplace built exclusively for students. We help aspirational brands reach student customers by selling curated archive stock at discounted prices. Our brand partners include Oh Polly, Saucony, Champion, Peak Performance, Ed Hardy and we’re growing quickly. We’re building the go-to destination for students to shop their favourite brands at prices that don’t drain their loans.

If you've helped grow a brand you're proud of and you're ready to be Hazaar's first Ecommerce hire and shape our digital strategy, this role is for you.

The Role

You'll own the commercial performance of Hazaar's website, from how products are merchandised and positioned, to how we perform against targets week to week. You'll sit at the heart of brand launches, working closely with our marketing and partnerships teams to make sure every product drop lands exactly right on site.

This isn't a reactive, ticket-driven role. We want someone who comes in on Monday with a point of view on last week's numbers, a plan for what needs to change, and an instinct for what's going to connect with our audience.

What You'll Own

  • Performance & Insight: Monitor revenue, CVR, AOV and product performance week to week — Produce clear weekly reports with insight and recommended actions — Identify and act on commercial opportunities across the site — Align with the marketing team to ensure campaigns support site priorities

  • Merchandising & Product — Lead site merchandising across all pages, collections and brand pages — Identify and position hero products within launches — Use sell-through data to inform product selection and pricing decisions — Make Hazaar curated, always.

  • Brand Launch Execution — End-to-end e-commerce delivery for new brand drops — Product uploads, collection builds and QA — Work directly with brand partners to nail the on-site execution

  • CX, SEO & Content — Own the website content and creative calendar — Optimise product pages, landing pages and collections for conversion — Improve on-site SEO across products and brand pages — Brief designers on homepage and campaign assets

About You

  • 3–5 years in e-commerce — must have experience in fashion
  • Experienced with Shopify and the tools around it
  • Strong commercial instinct — you can read data and know what to do with it
  • You follow the brands we're competing with and have opinions about how they perform online
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where you own the outcome, not just the task
  • Excellent communicator — you can write a performance report and present it with conviction

What Success Looks Like

Consistent conversion rate improvement through sharper merchandising and CX

Every brand launch executed flawlessly with strong early sell-through

Weekly performance visibility the whole team relies on to make decisions

A site that is intentional, curated and impossible to leave empty-handed
