Director of Operations

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee and optimize day-to-day operations across production, logistics, and cross-functional teams. This role is a hands-on leadership position focused on operational execution, process improvement, and manufacturing efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings direct manufacturing experience and a practical, shop-floor-informed approach to leadership. This role partners closely with ownership and leadership and serves as the primary operational lead for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities across manufacturing, production scheduling, inventory, and order fulfillment
• Lead and support production teams to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve margins
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and administrative teams to align operational goals
• Develop and monitor operational KPIs, reporting on performance, capacity, and output
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and internal procedures
• Support workforce planning, training, and performance management within operations
• Participate in planning efforts related to production growth, workflow optimization, and equipment utilization
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues and decision-making
• Perform additional operational and leadership duties as needed
  
  

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

• Manufacturing experience is required (production, fabrication, industrial, or similar environment)
• Prior operations leadership experience (manager, lead manager, plant operations, or similar level)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, production planning, and operational KPIs
• Experience leading teams in a hands-on, onsite manufacturing environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in small to mid-sized manufacturing organizations
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
• Strong cross-functional communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational execution
  
  

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Health Benefits Full‐time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance on the first of the month following 60 days from hire date. 401(K) Retirement Plan a. The Company will match 100% of an employee’s contribution up to 3% of their annual salary; as well as an additional 50% match for any contribution between 3% and 5%. b. Automatically enrolled with a 3% contribution. You have the option to opt out or update contributions. 2. Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance a. 100% covered through the company. 3.
