Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical wiring harness systems for vehicles or industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Create 2D and 3D harness routing using CAD tools (e.g., UGNX, Siemens NX, or Zuken E3).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to integrate harness designs into overall product architecture.
Generate and maintain detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, connector tables, and BOMs.
Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and validation activities to ensure product reliability and manufacturability.
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of harness systems.
Interface with suppliers for component selection, cost optimization, and manufacturability feedback.

Qualifications

BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with knowledge of automobile parts

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring harness architecture, and component selection.
Proficiency in CAD tools for harness design (e.g., UGNX Electrical, Capital Harness, Zuken E3).
Familiarity with automotive or industrial standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Experience with PLM systems and change management processes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work with deadlines & without supervision
Analytical skills and logical thinking
Adaptability and learning skills
Strong communication, interpersonal skills

Desired Skills

Experience with high-voltage harness design for EV or hybrid systems.
Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in harness layout.
Exposure to CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols.
Hands-on experience with harness manufacturing or assembly processes.
Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis tools.

Experience

3-6 years of experience in Electrical Wiring Harness, Design, Harness routing, Modification, Drawing, BOM, Design Release in Enovia
Strong Experience on UGNX
