Role: - Direct & Indirect Tax

Designation - Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager

Location - Mumbai

Job Purpose:

The Direct & Indirect Tax person will be responsible for managing the organization’s tax compliance, planning, and advisory across direct and indirect taxes. The role will support renewable energy project development, EPC activities, and operational entities by ensuring tax-efficient structures, regulatory compliance, and effective tax risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Indirect Tax (GST):

• Preparation and filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9/9C
• Handling Input Service Distributor (ISD) compliances
• Managing GST registrations and amendments
• Handling cross-charge and inter-company transactions
• Preparation and review of debit notes and related GST implications
• Monitoring GST reconciliations and compliance

Direct Tax:

• Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR)
• Handling Tax Audit compliances
• Preparation and filing of Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT)
• Advance tax computation and working
• Deferred tax computation
• RCM calculations and compliance (Rule 42 & 43)
• Ensuring Professional Tax compliance

Accounting & Financial Review:

• Preparation of capitalisation workings for fixed assets
• General Ledger (GL) scrutiny and review
• Supporting financial closing activities and ensuring accuracy of accounting entries

Qualifications:

Education:

• CA having experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6–10+ years of experience in direct and indirect taxation
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or EPC industry preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax laws and GST regulations.
