Role Overview
The Delivery Manager – Technology is responsible for end-to-end delivery of Salesforce programs, ensuring successful execution across scope, schedule, cost, and quality. This role provides delivery leadership, governance, stakeholder management, and technical oversight, partnering closely with Architects and Tech Leads while maintaining ownership of overall delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Ownership
- Own and manage end-to-end Salesforce delivery across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Industry Clouds, CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud Advanced.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality benchmarks.
- Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and drive timely issue resolution.
- Manage delivery KPIs, project health metrics, and executive status reporting.
- Review and validate solution approaches for delivery feasibility, scalability, and sustainability.
- Participate in design and architecture reviews to ensure alignment with delivery standards and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce security, governance, and compliance guidelines.
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams including developers, QA, analysts, and administrators.
- Drive effective resource planning, utilization, and performance management.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of accountability and delivery excellence.
- Act as the primary delivery contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate delivery progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage escalations and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Establish and enforce delivery governance, release management, and change control processes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery and technical risks.
- Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition to support teams.
- Oversee integration and data migration activities involving Salesforce and external systems.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.
- Champion continuous improvement across delivery processes, estimation accuracy, and execution predictability by mentoring delivery teams on best practices, risk management, and performance optimization.
- Act as a delivery mentor and pre-sales advisor, enabling teams to contribute effectively during pre-sales cycles through solution walkthroughs, effort estimations, delivery models, and feasibility assessments.
- Build and groom pre-sales-ready delivery teams by coaching them on proposal structuring, scope definition, assumptions, dependencies, and commercial awareness.
- Provide delivery-led inputs for pre-sales engagements, including effort breakdowns, resourcing strategies, delivery timelines, risk mitigation plans, and execution governance models.
- Bridge delivery and pre-sales functions to ensure commitments made during sales cycles are realistic, scalable, and aligned with long-term delivery success.
- Promote a collaborative and high-performance delivery culture.
- Support hiring, team development, and diversity initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience in technology delivery, with strong Salesforce program exposure.
- Proven track record managing large-scale Salesforce implementations.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce ecosystem from a delivery and governance perspective.
- Experience with Agile / SAFe / Hybrid delivery models.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
