- 5+ Years of total experience in Data Engineering
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Snowflake
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in Power BI
- Conceptual knowledge of SAP BW on HANA (no hands-on required)
We are hiring a Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake and Power BI to support enterprise data platforms in a Service Delivery / Application Managed Services (AMS) environment.
The role focuses on data pipeline support, monitoring, performance optimization, issue resolution, and minor enhancements while ensuring SLA-driven operations. Exposure to SAP data landscapes is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for Snowflake data pipelines and Power BI reports.
- Monitor ETL/ELT jobs, data loads, and report refresh cycles.
- Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and failures.
- Implement minor enhancements and optimizations in Snowflake and Power BI.
- Optimize queries, compute warehouses, and data models in Snowflake.
- Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and DAX calculations.
- Manage data sources, gateways, refresh schedules, and security (RLS).
- Coordinate with Client Business Groups and SAP teams using conceptual knowledge of SAP BW/HANA.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge articles.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Power BI
- Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Experience in production support / AMS environments
- Knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schema)
- Experience in incident management and SLA-based support
- Conceptual knowledge of SAP BW on HANA
- Experience with cloud platforms : Azure
- Exposure to SAP Datasphere
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, etc.)
- Understanding of ITIL or service delivery processes
