Cost Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing product costs, inventory valuation, fixed and variable costs, profit and loss calculations, and processing costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Costing: Calculate and analyze product costs, including direct materials, labor, and overheads.

2. Inventory Valuation: Value inventory accurately and maintain records in accordance with accounting standards.

3. Fixed Cost Calculation: Calculate and analyze fixed costs, including depreciation, rent, and salaries.

4. Variable Cost Calculation: Calculate and analyze variable costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads.

5. Profit and Loss Calculation: Prepare profit and loss statements and analyze variances.

6. Processing Cost: Calculate and analyze processing costs, including production and operational costs. 

Additional Responsibilities:

- Analyze and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement. - Prepare reports and provide insights to management on cost trends and performance.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost data. 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. - Proven experience in cost accounting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and reporting skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
