Education: Postgraduate

Preferred - Certification in risk, compliance or governance (IRM, ICA, NISM)

About the Role

 

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Gift City, Gandhinagar for the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) role. The CRO is responsible for managing enterprise-wide risk management, including operations and market risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include developing risk management frameworks, analyzing market trends to anticipate potential risks, advising the executive team and implementing mitigation strategies in alignment with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

1.Develop and implement an enterprise risk management framework aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices for financial market infrastructures.

2.Create and maintain risk management policies and procedures that align with the IOSCO and regulatory standards.

3.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

4.Continuously assess and report on the organization's risk exposure across various domains, including operational, surveillance, financial and strategic risks.

5.Develop and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and controls.

6.Design and maintain business continuity, default handling, and systemic disruption response frameworks.

7.Conduct regular risk assessments and present findings to Senior Management.

8.Communicate effectively with stakeholders including regulator regarding risk issues and mitigation plans.

9.Collaborate with regulators, exchanges, clearing corporations, auditors, and intermediaries to address systemic and operational risks.


Required Skills:

1. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

2. Knowledge of financial regulations, surveillance, compliance, and governance standards.

3.Knowledge of operational risk management.

4.Expertise in risk modelling, scenario analysis, and mitigation planning.

5.Prior experience in training and managing team.

6.Result oriented with high ethical standards.

7.Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
