Job Summary

The Mandi Buyer Fruits & Vegetables is responsible for sourcing fresh produce directly from mandis, farmers, and traders while ensuring optimal quality, quantity, and pricing. The role requires strong negotiation skills, deep knowledge of seasonal produce, and the ability to maintain supplier relationships while meeting daily procurement targets.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase fruits and vegetables from local mandis, farmers, and suppliers on a daily basis
Ensure quality standards, freshness, grading, and correct weight of produce
Negotiate prices and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency
Monitor daily market prices, demand trends, and seasonal availability
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely dispatch and delivery
Maintain accurate purchase records, bills, and inventory data
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, commission agents, and farmers
Minimize wastage and ensure optimal yield
Ensure compliance with company quality and food safety standards
