Position Summary
Develops product concepts into manufacturing documentation using the latest computer aided design (CAD) tools. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards relying on their familiarity of a variety of mechanical design concepts, practices, and procedures.

Position Summary
Develops product concepts into manufacturing documentation using the latest computer aided design (CAD) tools. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards relying on their familiarity of a variety of mechanical design concepts, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform part and assembly 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor.
- Create engineering drawings of parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
- Illustrate design intent through the proper application of datum’s, feature definitions, tolerances, etc.
- Create preliminary design drawings and sketches for communication in design reviews.
- Apply GD&T fundamentals based on ASME Y14.5M-2009 standard.
- Calculate and apply tolerances for fit of all assembly components, including all necessary tolerance stacks.
- Create Bills of Material (BOM).
- Perform all drawing and BOM changes for Engineering Change Notices.
- Participate in prototype builds and assembly trials.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
- Associate’s Degree, Mechanical Technology or the equivalent of education and experience.
- Proven experience in mechanical design.
- Experience with 3D CAD.
- Expert knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- A strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proven experience managing multiple, simultaneous analysis projects.
- Experience working within a team environment.

- Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 10 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.
- The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
