Job Description

Position Overview

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the branch. This includes managing sales growth, operational execution, customer relationships, and team development while ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.

This is a high-visibility role with significant autonomy and accountability.


Key Responsibilities:

P&L & Financial Management

  • Own full profit and loss responsibility for the branch
  • Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and growth plans
  • Monitor key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, expenses, and inventory turns
  • Implement cost controls while maintaining service levels and growth


Sales & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth through both existing accounts and new customer acquisition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and key accounts
  • Partner with sales teams to set targets, track performance and improve close rates
  • Identify local market opportunities and execute strategic growth initiatives


Operations & Supply Chain

  • Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including warehouse, inventory, and logistics
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, including purchasing, stocking levels, and shrink control
  • Maintain high standards for order accuracy, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Continuously improve processes to drive productivity and scalability


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team across sales, warehouse, and administrative functions
  • Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and results
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent within the branch
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development


Customer Experience & Market Presence

  • Serve as the face of the branch within the local market
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and service consistency
  • Resolve escalated customer issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Strengthen the company’s reputation and brand within the region


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–10+ years of experience in distribution, building materials, or insulation
  • Proven track record of managing a branch or business unit with P&L responsibility
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop diverse teams
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and improving operational performance
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship management skills
