Description Job Title : BI & Analytics Expert Google Cloud Location : Chennai / Bangalore Compensation : Open to discussion (based on experience and skill fit) Notice Period : Immediate joiner or currently serving notice with less than 60 days Job Overview We are seeking a BI & Analytics Expert with strong expertise in designing and delivering enterprise-grade analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to build scalable semantic models, interactive dashboards, and self-service analytics solutions using Looker, BigQuery, and related GCP services. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills, data modeling expertise, and client-facing communication abilities. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain BI and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Build and manage LookML semantic models, Explores, and derived tables in Looker Develop interactive, performance-optimized dashboards for enterprise stakeholders Enable self-service analytics using Looker and Looker Studio Work with BigQuery to design analytics-ready datasets, including scheduled queries and transformations Implement row-level security and authorized views in BigQuery Optimize query performance through partitioning, clustering, and query tuning Support business users with Connected Sheets for BigQuery-based reporting Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical solutions Ensure data accuracy, governance, and scalability across BI solutions Technical Skills Required (68 of the following) Looker : LookML modeling, Explores, dashboards Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) for self-service reporting BigQuery Analytics Scheduled queries BI Engine Slots and workload management Semantic layer design using LookML views and derived tables BigQuery row-level security and authorized views Connected Sheets for BigQuery data analysis in Google Sheets Advanced SQL performance optimization (partitioning, clustering, execution plans) Power BI or Tableau experience with BigQuery connectors Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in BI and analytics At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Looker or BigQuery Successfully delivered 2 or more LookML projects or enterprise dashboard implementations Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing roles and requirements gathering Preferred Attributes Experience working with enterprise or large-scale data environments Understanding of analytics best practices, governance, and data modeling standards Ability to work independently and manage multiple client deliverables (ref:hirist.tech)
