Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Leverage foundational system design principles to design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful and gRPC APIs within a microservices architecture.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to and improves upon our existing codebase structure.

Deeply understand product requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions, always ensuring that engineering decisions cater directly to overarching business needs.

Actively participate in product discussions, brainstorming and ideating new backend features to drive the platform forward.

Apply excellent problem-solving skills to independently navigate technical blockers, debug complex issues, and deliver optimal solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

1+ years of professional backend engineering experience.

Proven backend experience working with Python, OR at least a minimum basic working knowledge of Go (with a strong willingness to learn more).

Solid understanding of microservice architectures and inter-service communication (REST, gRPC).

Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.

Strong grasp of Git-based workflows and a commitment to writing disciplined, structured code.

Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work seamlessly with Frontend engineers, UI/UX designers, and fellow Backend developers to deliver cohesive, user-centric products.

An independent, fast-learning "startup mindset"—you don't need excessive hand-holding to figure out a new technology or solve a tough bug.

Endless curiosity to actively follow the tech space and experiment with new tools and frameworks.

Pay: ₹235,745.12 - ₹400,000.00 per year
