Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of customer projects from order confirmation to final delivery. The role focuses on project tracking, communication, documentation, and coordination between departments including engineering, production, procurement, and quality.
This position is suitable for candidates with a Business Administration, Operations, or Project Management background who are interested in working in a manufacturing environment. Over time, the candidate will gain practical exposure to engineering and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
Track project progress from order receipt to delivery.
Coordinate between engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams.
Ensure project tasks are completed according to schedule.
Customer Communication
Act as a communication link between the company and customers.
Provide project updates, timelines, and delivery status.
Ensure customer requirements are properly communicated internally.
Documentation & Project Tracking
Maintain project documentation including:
Work orders
Delivery schedules
Customer specifications
Project progress reports
Prepare regular project status reports for management.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements.
Coordinate with procurement for material availability.
Track production schedules and highlight delays or bottlenecks.
Process Improvement
Support implementation of project tracking systems.
Assist in improving workflow using structured methods such as
Agile Project Management and
Scrum where applicable.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Business Administration (BBA / BCom / MBA)
Operations Management
Project Management
1–4 years of work experience preferred (freshers with strong analytical skills may also apply).
Required Skills
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Excel and office tools.
Preferred Skills
Interest in manufacturing or industrial operations.
Basic understanding of production workflows.
Experience with ERP systems or workflow tools.
Learning & Growth
The candidate will gradually develop knowledge in:
Manufacturing processes
Engineering drawings and specifications
Production planning
Supply chain coordination
Project management methodologies
Over time, the role can grow into Project Manager / Operations Manager within the organization.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
