Job Description

Title: AI Engineer

Location: India (Remote)

Position Type: Contract

Position Overview

The Artificial Intelligence Engineer plays a key role in designing, building, and deploying advanced AI solutions.
This position focuses on applying Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve business challenges.
Working closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams, the AI Engineer translates business requirements into scalable, production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver ML, NLP, and LLM solutions aligned with organizational AI strategies.
Develop custom models and pipelines for batch and real-time processing, including data ingestion, preprocessing, search/retrieval, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and NLP/LLM development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production environments.
Stay up to date with emerging AI/ML technologies and recommend innovative approaches.
Ensure compliance with best practices in data privacy, security, and bias mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field; OR High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on experience in AI/ML model development.
Proficiency with ML frameworks, Python, and cloud platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of AI/ML techniques.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Understanding of ethical considerations in AI systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying Generative AI solutions at scale.
Expertise in fine-tuning LLMs/SLMs, teacher-student frameworks, and model distillation.
Familiarity with human-in-the-loop methods for aligning LLMs with human preferences.
Knowledge of agentic frameworks; experience deploying agent-based solutions is a plus.
