Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the school by managing administrative functions effectively — including facilities, transport, housekeeping, procurement, security, and coordination with vendors and departments. The School Administrator plays a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient environment for students, teachers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:1. General Administration
Oversee all administrative activities to ensure the school operates efficiently.
Supervise office staff and ensure timely execution of administrative tasks.
Maintain records related to admissions, attendance, staff, and facilities.
Support the Principal in implementing school policies and procedures.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repair and maintenance work.
Monitor housekeeping and ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
Manage inventory of school supplies and ensure timely procurement.
Ensure safety and security of students and staff within the school premises.
Liaise with security agencies and monitor CCTV systems regularly.
Maintain purchase records and ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement.
Monitor stock levels and manage resource allocation efficiently.
Coordinate with teaching and non-teaching staff for smooth event execution.
Manage communication between departments and external agencies.
Maintain all necessary licenses and renewal documentation.
Support audits and inspections as required by management or authorities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Administration / Management or equivalent.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in school or institutional administration.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office and school management systems.

About Company: Akshaya Chaitanya is a not-for-profit social enterprise by the HKM charitable foundation to eradicate hunger from Mumbai. We have partnered with the Medical Education and Drug Department (MEDD) of the Government of Maharashtra and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to provide relief to the families of patients by serving them meals at lunch. Additionally, we are running a feeding program for children in slums and municipal schools. We aim to ensure that we make one lac individuals food-secure by 2025 to help them explore opportunities beyond solving hunger.
