Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team and take ownership of our accounting, compliance and financial reporting processes. You will support the company’s growth by ensuring financial operations run smoothly, maintaining audit-ready books, and providing actionable insights to leadership. You will work alongside our engineering and operations teams to support a global services business focused on clients in the US and Europe.

What you will do:

Maintain full-set books of accounts in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books or Tally ERP): journal entries, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports, P&L, cash flow summaries.
Track income and expenses project-wise across service lines; support profitability analysis of units and projects.
Handle statutory compliance and taxation: GST, TDS, Advance Tax, Income Tax, PF, PT, ESI; manage export LUT licensing and remittances where applicable.
Manage accounts payable and receivable: vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, export invoices under LUT, receivables follow-up.
Build financial dashboards and automate recurring reports (in Google Sheets/Excel) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Provide business support: MIS reports for leadership, collaborate with banks/consultants on international transactions, support audits.
Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, financial controls and reporting to support a high-growth, global service business.
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) including formulas, pivot tables, automation.
Solid understanding of Indian statutory compliance: GST, TDS, Advance Tax, Income Tax, PF, PT, ESI.
Experience with export accounting/invoices, LUT licensing, foreign remittance compliance (desirable).
Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

Essential qualifications & experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (CA-Inter or MBA Finance preferred).
5+ years of relevant accounting and compliance experience (preferably in a software services or export-oriented business).
Strong hands-on experience with accounting software (Zoho Books or Tally ERP).
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) including formulas, pivot tables, automation.
Solid understanding of Indian statutory compliance: GST, TDS, Advance Tax, Income Tax, PF, PT, ESI.
Experience with export accounting/invoices, LUT licensing, foreign remittance compliance (desirable).
Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, startup-style environment, supporting global clients and services.

Nice to have:

Prior exposure to SaaS / technology services industry.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and profitability modelling.
Familiarity with financial automation and dashboard building.
